How will I know how well my child is doing and how will you help me support my child’s learning?

The class teacher can be made available to discuss your child’s progress or any concerns you may have and to share information about what is working well at home and school so similar strategies can be used. If you wish to discuss your child’s progress please ensure you make an appointment via the school office. •

The Inclusion Leader (Sarah Boag) is available to meet with you to discuss your child’s progress or any concerns/worries you may have.

All information from outside professionals will, where possible, be discussed with you, or where this is not possible, in a report.

Personal progress targets/Pen portraits will be reviewed with the child’s involvement. In KS2 your child will also be invited to attend the meeting and be part of the discussion around their progress.

Homework will be adjusted as needed to your child’s individual needs.

A home/school contact book may be used to support communication between you and school; this has proven to be useful for all parties concerned.
