Special Educational Needs
Welcome to the Special Educational Needs (SEN) section of our website...
Hollybush Primary School has an inclusive ethos and works in partnership with children, parents and other agencies to provide the best possible educational outcomes. We have high expectations of all our children and put support in place at the earliest possible stage where needed. We aim to create a learning environment which is flexible enough to meet the needs of all members of our school community.

SEND Parent Group
This half term we are looking to set up a support group for parents with children with SEND. The group will meet once a month on zoom and will aim to provide an opportunity for you to chat with other parent/carers of children with SEND.
The group will allow you to share any experience/concerns and find out more about how we can work together to support you and your child.
The SEND group will be designed around the needs of our children and their families. At each meeting we will discuss what you would like to discuss at future meetings. This will allow us to bring in professionals and other members of school staff to talk to you about different areas of need e.g. sleep routines, autism, the new SEND reforms to name a few.
If you have a child with SEND and are interested in being part of a parent group you can either; email the school or year group email or see Mrs Haddon (SENDCo) on the playground – usually by the reception fence. Alternatively you can ring the school office and leave a message and we will get back to you.
The first meeting will be on Friday 20th November at 10.30. A zoom link will be sent to you when on Thursday 19th November if you have emailed your interest.
