Welcome to Year 3 and the start of a wonderful year. Your teachers are really happy to have you in our classes this year and we know how amazing you will all be! We have got lots of exciting learning, trips and experiences planned throughout the year and can’t wait to share them with you.
This term's topic will be 'Would you rather live in Leeds or Marseille?'
In Geography this term, we will be using atlases to locate continents, countries and cities. As we focus in on Europe, we will take a virtual trip to France, finding out about its features, including the climate, landmarks and culture. The children will be developing their map reading skills and identifying points of a compass. We will use these skills to help us to explore our local area and compare Leeds to the French city of Marseille.
PE will be on a Monday.
