School uniform is an integral part of our drive to improve standards. Our uniform and logo give us a communal identity of which we can be proud. Please ensure that your child attends school in uniform. Our uniform is based on the principles of ease of wear, fitness for purpose, value for money and a sense of community.
Our School uniform comprises of: White, pale blue shirt blouse or polo shirt.
Navy Blue sweatshirt, cardigan or fleece.
Grey, black or navy trousers, shorts or skirt
Suitable, black flat shoes or plain black trainers.
All these items can be obtained from supermarkets. Hollybush badges can be purchased from the school office for £1.00 each.
We ask parents to send their children dressed and prepared in a sensible way e.g.; long hair tied back, no nail varnish, sensible hair (this means no sculpted, Mohican, or multi-coloured hairstyles) and no body piercings (only stud earrings are allowed). We take great pride in keeping our school looking as new as possible.
We encourage all children to change into indoor shoes or pumps, in order to keep our carpets and floors as clean as possible. Pumps can now be purchased from the school office for £2.50 each. Young children may sit on the carpets from time to time and we try to make this an enjoyable experience.
As pupils in Year 6 act as role models to others in school we have decided that their uniform should distinguish as such. Therefore, this year, the school will provide all Year 6 pupils with a school blazer which they will be expected to wear at all times. Unfortunately if they lose this blazer parents will be expected to purchase another one.
All children from Reception through to Year 6 wear shorts (dark blue or black) and a white or blue T-shirt/polo shirt (or leotard if preferred). For outdoor activities, a pair of dark blue tracksuit bottoms and a pair of trainers may be required.
Please ensure your child has correct PE equipment in school at all times. PE kit should be named and kept in a drawstring bag, which can be purchased from the office at a cost of £2.50. PE kit should be taken home and washed every Friday and returned to school the following Monday.
We ask that jewellery is kept to a minimum and pupils only wear watches and stud earrings and keep other jewellery at home.
Please note that jewellery and personal belongings are the responsibility of the pupil and not the responsibility of the teacher.
Please ensure that all clothing and footwear is clearly marked with your child’s name. We regularly give children (and parents) the opportunity to reclaim their lost property. All lost property is stored in the community room. Whatever remains unclaimed at the end of each term is taken to a local Charity shop.
