Email - year3@hollybushprimary.org

Below is the Year 3 Curriculum Overview for 2020-21 and the termly planning.

In the Autumn Term we will be learning about Leeds and the French City of Marseille.

‘Would you rather live in Leeds or Marseille?’

In Geography, we will be using atlases to locate continents, countries and cities. The children will be developing their map reading skills and identifying points of a compass. They will then apply these skills to explore our local area. In history we will be learning about chronology, using sources as evidence and comparing how and when Leeds and Marseille were built.

In art, we will be learning about graffiti. We will be finding examples of graffiti from our local area and exploring the question ‘Is graffiti art?’

We will be learning about light in Science. The children will be using scientific vocabulary when learning about light and dark, reflections, shadows and sun safety.
